In a processed food industry Juice Extraction out of Fruits & Vegetables is a primary operation. Recovery of Juice from any fruit & vegetable affect the economy of the unit and this finally depends upon the methods & machine for extraction of juice. For fruits & vegetable other than citrus fruits, we crush the fruit / vegetable in a fruit mill and extract juice by pressing the same under hydraulic press.
We have two type of presses i.e manual & motorized. In manual press pressure is exerted on material, which is kept on the plateform wrapped in Cloth in layers being pressed by wooden racks. By screw operation, hydraulic pressure is exerted on the crushed fruit to take out maximum juice. When the quantity to be pressed is more, it is easy to use motorized press. We have two sizes of hydraulic press, in first case i.e manual maximum pressure exerted is 25 MT where as in second size i.e motorized we can exert pressure upto 40/50 MT.
Depending upon the hardness of fruits & vegetable hydraulic press is choosen. To get maximum efficiency out of press we use 10 layers of fruits wrapped in specially provided cloth and every layers is covered with wooden rack. In this manner, being thin layers of Fruits we can extract up to 90% of juice by exerting pressure as desired. A steel tray is kept below the racks & cloth to collect juice. As the fruit / vegetable is not in direct touch of any part of machine, hence machine is made of thick MS Sheet / Casting and plateform & pressing block is made of Hardened Steel. Machine can be used for any fruit & vegetable, even for citrus, but citrus fruits being soft, we avoid using such a force for pressing such fruits. Space required for installation of machine is 6′ X 4′ X 10′.
Hand Operated, Rack and cloth type with Hydraulic pump and Hydraulic gauge most suitable for extracting juice from apples, pineapples, carrots, ginger, grapes etc. (Without Rack and cloth)
40 Tones pressures, rack and cloth type, without rack and cloth. Synthetic cloth and rack will be supplied at extra cost. Tray covered with aluminum sheet, complete with 3 HP Motor and hydraulic pump with automatic pressure control.
